Dear Reader, As we approach the one-year mark since the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust, I find myself reflecting on the horror, the trauma, and the twisted celebration of violence that has since unfolded. My family was in Israel that day, and the fear that gripped me is something I’ll never forget. It’s a fear that echoes the centuries of persecution my people have faced, even as we’ve sought refuge in Western democracies. This video is in podcast form too. A Twisted Celebration of Terrorism What devastates me most isn’t just the attacks themselves but the warped reaction we saw across the world—people actually celebrating these heinous acts. From New York to London, we saw rallies praising Hamas’s actions, glorifying a group responsible for the murder, rape, and mutilation of civilians as if they were some noble freedom fighters. How have we reached a point where supporting cold-blooded killers is seen as a legitimate political stance? It’s not just misguided slogans; it’s chants like “by any means necessary!” - a clear call for violence. In American universities and on social media, so-called progressives glorify these acts of terror, twisting them into a false narrative of resistance and justice. Where is the outrage? Where is the condemnation? Freedom of Speech or the Freedom to Glorify Violence? The most sickening part of all of this is that we now have to waste our breath reminding people that terrorism is wrong. In a world that claims to stand for liberty and justice, we actually have to debate whether or not the slaughter of innocents is justified. We’re forced to use the very freedom of speech that’s supposed to protect democracy to fight against those who celebrate violence and call for bloodshed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: while I’m an advocate for free speech and diverse viewpoints, there are limits. Ideologies that glorify violence and terror do not deserve a platform in any civilized society. We must draw the line, and we must draw it boldly. The Moral Inversion of the West What kind of world celebrates terrorists like Hamas, who have left a trail of suffering for people of all faiths and backgrounds? A world where progressives in the West hail these murderers as heroes, and their victims are blamed for their own suffering. It’s a complete inversion of morality—one that threatens the very principles upon which our free societies were built. Israel has the right to defend itself, just like any other nation. Yet it’s held to an impossible standard, demanded to be a victim and never a protector. We must fight back against this double standard and stand up for the rights of all nations to defend their citizens against terror. This is a Fight for Western Values This isn’t just about Israel; it’s about the very survival of Western values. It’s about protecting the principles of liberty, democracy, and justice that our societies were founded on. The Israeli military’s focus on minimizing civilian casualties while defending its people should be praised, not condemned. How have we reached a point where the murderers are celebrated and the defenders are vilified? Our constitutions were meant to protect the rights of individuals, not to give a stage to those who glorify terror. If we allow this hypocrisy to continue, we’re not just failing Israel; we’re failing the entire free world. A Call to Action: Fight for the Future We cannot remain silent. We must speak out, not just for Israel, but for every nation and every individual who believes in the right to live in peace. We must fight for a world where terror is unequivocally condemned and where the values of democracy and justice prevail over the chaos of extremism. This video is in podcast form too. In my newsletter last night I reported that Donald Trump was shot at and his most recent assassination attempt. That was incorrect, my, my apologies. A big thank you to Pete for pointing that out. Apparently in the haste of the aftermath and me trying to get this letter and me trying to get this letter out, I missed that nuance. Donald Trump was not shot at this week, but there was an apparent assassination attempt on him. On September 15, 2024, an individual armed with a rifle was spotted...
